Most people think of fresh vegetables and lean meat whenever the term ‘healthy eating’ is mentioned. Their mind conjures up images of foods that are grilled or boiled… and if you’re addicted to junk food and/or processed food, you’ll feel a natural aversion to the healthy foods.
The thought of crunching on a carrot or munching on some broccoli may make you gag. Nooo… you want fries, pizza, cookies, etc. Don’t feel guilty. This is the norm and most people are hooked on unhealthy food. This is why obesity is so prevalent these days.
To switch to healthy eating can be an uphill struggle. This is especially true if you dislike vegetables. Most people like fruit because they’re sweet and palatable. Vegetables, however, have their share of detractors.
What’s tricky here is that one of the core principles of healthy eating is that you switch to a diet that’s more plant-based. While you won’t need to become a vegetarian, it’ll definitely be better if you eat more vegetables.
So, what do you do if you hate eating vegetables?
Simple… you juice them. Of course, you may still not like the taste – but it’s much easier to pinch your nose and gulp down the green juice than it would be to slowly chew on it.
In fact, you’ll get more micronutrients into your system by juicing the vegetables since the juicers will break down the cellulose which is something the human body has difficulty doing.
Juicing is a form of healthy eating. If you’ve not watched the movie, ‘Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead’, do watch it and see how Joe Cross who was plagued with health problems transformed his health and life ONLY by consuming healthy vegetable and fruit juices.
All your body needs are nutrients. It can get proteins and carbs from the vegetables you juice. Add in some avocados, coconut oil, olive oil to your diet and you’ll get a good dose of healthy fats too.
Since you’ll be juicing fresh vegetables and fruit, your juice will be non-processed and all-natural. These juices are rich in antioxidants and other vitamins and minerals that the body craves.
It’s also interesting to note that juices are more easily assimilated into the body. Unlike solid foods that need to be digested and processed, juices are broken down much faster in the body and the nutrients are absorbed by your system much quicker.
So, juicing is actually a better way to deliver nutrients to your body than eating. You don’t need to stop eating… but do include juicing in your lifestyle too.
The more vegetable and fruit juices you consume, the more you’ll accrue the health benefits that come from these miracle foods. Your skin will get clearer. You’ll have more energy and your cholesterol levels will drop.
If you’re suffering from inflammation, it will greatly diminish and even disappear. Your metabolism will increase. Your weight will drop, and you’ll look better and feel better.
There are a multitude of benefits that come from juicing. Try and consume a green juice daily and over time, you’ll feel the difference. As you progress, you may wish to replace one or two meals a day with a juice and see how that transforms your health and life.
